In 2017, China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL) under China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) started the tendering project for procurement of 3D / Massive MIMO array antenna chamber for 5G. As the first domestic supplier of curling reflector with independent IPR on design and manufacturing, Sunyield Technologies has gained rich experience in the antenna measurement industry, and stands out from several well-known domestic and international manufacturers to win this bid to reach the second cooperation with CTTL.


China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) is a scientific research institute directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has become the pillar unit in the ICT field in China and a major supportive unit for MIIT in comprehensive policies, giving full support to MIIT in terms of technologies and policies at both macro and micro levels from domestic and international perspectives. It has thus accumulated rich experience in communications policies, standards for telecommunication technologies, planning of communications development, and product testing and certification, making great contributions to the development of communications industry in China.


China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL), founded in 1981, was named under the authorization of the Ministry of Information and Industry Technology (MIIT) and the State General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and is currently administrated by the China Academy of Telecommunication Research (CATR). It is a leading high-tech organization which integrates the research and development of communications technology, communications product standard, test method, communications measurement standard, measurement method research, and domestic and foreign product testing, verification, technical evaluation, test instrument measurement and communications software evaluation and verification.

Sunyield SYCR-series of Compact Range

In this bid, CTTL chose the SUNYIELD SYCR series. This series is highly-accurate measurement systems newly-released by SUNYIELD, which uses a bias feed design and is suitable for both active and passive testing. With the formation of an elliptical quiet zone within a certain longitudinal distance, as long as the size of object under test does not exceed the design size of the quiet zone, both active/passive testing can be performed with network analyzer or spectrum analyzer and the corresponding spread spectrum components.


Sunyield SYCR series system uses an integral curling reflector (RMS <20um), which saves space compared to conventional saw-tooth reflectors. Equipped with a multi-dimensional bearing turntable, the test tooling and electric auxiliary shaft can be customized according to user need. In order to use the SYCR series system, a fully shielded non-reflective microwave chamber, adjustable feed fixture and the corresponding band ripple speaker feed are required. At the same time, it comes with a portable base, which is user-friendly for placement and deployment. The SCR Handy Sunvey software is compatible with mainstream network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, can support point frequency, sweep frequency and custom test frequency, display real-time test pattern, and generate pattern vector data export and test report.
